QUETTA: Due to poor performance of civil aviation authorities, PIA plane slipped from run one but no casualties were reported.

According to spokesman Abdullah Khan from PI, the flight from Jeddah to Quetta had landed. In such weather, de-icing (snow on the ship and engine) is required which was not provided at the Quetta Airport which caused the plane to fall into the snow.

According to PIA officials, providing this facility is the task of the airport, civil aviation. Damage to the plane, disturbance to passengers and other schedules of flights are severely affected.

The passengers arriving from Jeddah have been transferred to the hotel, spokesman PIA Abdullah Khan said. Other flights have been canceled by PIA due to absence of snow, essential supplies and chemicals at Quetta Airport.

PIA officials say flights will be rescheduled as the weather conditions improve, apologizing for the problems experienced by travelers, but weather conditions are beyond our control. PIA staff and call centers are on the alert, our passengers can get in touch and get guidance.
