Sydney: Former Australian captain and leading batsman Ricky Ponting has named former team captain Wasim Akram and West Indies' Curtly Ambrose as the best and most dangerous bowlers.

On the social networking site Twitter, a fan asked the former Australian captain about which bowlers did you find difficult to bat against during your career?

To which Ricky Ponting said that I had a hard time playing Waseem Akram and Curtly Ambrose during my career, he was the best bowler of the time.




He added that Pakistan's Aspire star got the fastest bowling for former Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar while I was most dismissed by Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh.
