KUALA LUMPUR: Leading Indian religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured him that all action against him will be terminated in exchange for Indian support to end the special status of occupied Kashmir.



Leading Indian religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik, who has been living in exile in Malaysia since 2016. He was offered by the Indian Prime Minister a safe way to return to India. Dr. Zakir Naik has claimed that the Indian Prime Minister sent a message to him in September 2019 through a representative.

Dr. Zakir Naik is also the founder of the Islamic Research Foundation and Peace TV. He confirmed to be contacted by the Indian Prime Minister in a video released on social media.

Dr. Zakir Naik said that the message of Narendra Modi was conveyed to me by a representative of the Prime Minister of India, that if I support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) move in the matter of Kashmir, I would impose it on him. All the charges will be withdrawn and the barriers to return to India will also be removed.


He said the person coming to the meeting assured that all misunderstandings between the Indian government and Dr Zakir Naik would be removed. The representative of the Indian government said that he had come with the message of Indian Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah.
