Foreign Minister has begun contacts with other countries for peace



Tehran: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived in Tehran after a visit to Mashhad.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was received by Tehran Airport's Director General (DG) Syed Rasul Mousavi at Tehran Airport.


Shah Mehmood Qureshi will meet with Iranian leadership in Tehran and Iran will discuss tensions with the United States and peace in the Middle East.

It should be noted that King Mahmood Qureshi will also visit Saudi Arabia after Iran and he is making these trips under the direction of Prime Minister Imran Khan so that Pakistan can play its role in easing tensions in the Middle East.

The Foreign Minister left for Iran this morning where he first visited the Iranian city of Mashhad and then arrived in Tehran.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will also meet with his Iranian counterpart Jawad Zarif in Iran and discuss peace and order situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region.

Later, the Foreign Minister will travel from Tehran to Riyadh on January 13, where he will meet with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Al Saud and discuss with them the issues of regional peace and stability, including Iran-US tensions.

In a statement issued in this regard, he said that in the context of recent events, urgent and collective efforts are needed to address the threats posed by the region's peace and security, to reduce stress and to solve peaceful problems. ۔


Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that in meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia and other leaders, I would inform them of Pakistan's perspective on the current situation.

He said the need was to support all efforts to moderate this level of tension, reduce stress and find solutions to problems through diplomatic sources.
